As I’ve gotten further into my 30s, my obsession with beauty has taken a hard turn into all things skincare. OK so I’m still obsessed with makeup and hair, but I will say I spend more time and money on my skincare these days. I’d much rather get my skin right and then need to wear less makeup to feel confident. Plus, since having George, let’s just say the time I can dedicate to makeup routines has decreased significantly.
Today I want to talk skincare tools. There are SO many out there these days, I know it’s overwhelming. And because I can’t help myself to try the new everything (it’s my job, Austin!), I’ve gone ahead and tried just about everything on the market. I always spend 2 weeks minimum testing out any product before recommending (or not), but I’ve actually used everything on this for much longer than that. Keep reading for the 5 skincare tools that I believe are worth the hype and can, dare I say it, replace the need of facials.
Please let me know if you use any of these tools and what your thoughts are!
xx Ashley
Let’s start off with the ice roller because it’s something I use most days of the week. I keep it in the fridge and usually grab it as I’m getting my coffee. Ice rollers are known to help with lymphatic drainage, redness, pore size, and to be honest, it just feels really good. I notice that my face because less “puffy” right away, especially around my eyes and jawline, and it definitely helps to wake me up. There are a ton on the market and they’re probably all good but I like this one.
GloPRO Microneedling Regeneration Tool
You’ve likely seen this one and I’ve gotta say, it’s a must for me. Essentially this tool triggers your skin’s natural healing process by way of micro-needling and it helps cells turnover. This leads to younger-looking skin because the tool creates new collagen which is something we all naturally lose over time. After using the tool, your skin is able to absorb other skincare products 200x more effectively which is crazy! I use this a few times a week.
Vanity Planet Ultrasonic Lifting & Exfoliating Wand
This is another product that works well beneath the surface. The wand penetrates the skin and combines high-frequency, electric muscle stimulation and it exfoliates, moisturizes (when used with skincare products), and lifts all in one which is pretty cool. I especially love the exfoliation setting because it manages blackheads and helps to avoid breakouts. Overall I love that it multi-tasks because as I said earlier, I tend to be short on time these days. This is currently half-off and I can’t recommend it enough!
While the ice roller works to reduce inflammation in general, this tool really gets into specific areas of your face to tone, sculpt, and de-puff. By gentle massaging in upward motions, you’ll improve skin’s firmness over time and increase circulation. Like the ice roller, it feels absolutely incredible and I consider it a massage at this point. If you’re looking for a good find, this Amazon price is as good as I’ve seen.
Vanity Planet Microdermabrasion Wand
On top of the Ultrasonic Wand mentioned earlier, I like to use this tool during that time of the month or anytime I’m censing breakouts coming. Honestly, when I use it 1-2x a week I notice such a difference in my overall skin/acne situation so I try to be consistent. This product gets rid of dead skin cells, impurities, and uses suction to get rid of what’s hiding in your pores (gross but true). I love that this product is gentle but effective and it also stimulates skin for an overall healthy look. This product is also on sale.
OK I know I said 5 products in the headline but I don’t want to leave without talking about the NuFace. While I haven’t used it enough to recommend it yet, I have heard incredible things about it. It’s an investment but according to my girlfriends and other beauty bloggers, it’s the next best thing after botox for reversing the looks of aging. I’m going to start using it more often and will report back because the reviews are pretty great.

It would also be helpful to see how you actually use these! A demo, if you will;)
