If you want to prolong your blowout, this is the trick to keep your hair looking fresh. Because of this hack, I am down to washing my hair once (maybe twice) a week. Which is honestly a pretty big accomplishment for me. I have thick hair and ever since having George, it’s been more oily at the roots. Weird, right?
I have to use a dry shampoo that gives me a powdery white finish and a little grit. Trust me, the white powder will go away if you follow these steps.
WHAT YOU NEED
Dry Shampoo (Best Luxe / Best Drugstore) | Silky Scrunchie | Boar Bristle Brush | Hair Oil
BEFORE BED
Brush your hair like normal and spray the dry shampoo in your roots. Don’t rub it in just yet, you want it to sit on the roots while you sleep, and you will brush out the next morning. Get a silky scrunchie and throw your hair in a messy or twist bun. This will help keep the wave in your hair.
IN THE MORNING
Take down your hair and brush your roots with a boar bristle brush. The natural bristles help pull oil from the roots and will eliminate any of that powdery finish from the dry shampoo. You will probably notice your hair has incredible volume too! If you have thick hair or color your hair, take some hair oil and use a very tiny amount on your ends only. This will help smooth any frizz and keep your hair looking healthy.
Have you tried this hack yet? What’s your secret for not having to wash your hair as often? xx Ashley
