Our Fall-Ready Front Porch

This past weekend, we started decorating for Fall. We keep it petting minimal in the house, but we love sprucing up the front porch with pumpkins and fall wreaths. I love how it turned out this year! If you want to see how we decorated last year, check out this post.

Below, I’m listing out where we purchased everything and our exterior paint colors. Do you decorate your front porch?

PUMPKINS: 

We always have the best luck at Home Depot and Walmart for the larger pumpkins (especially if you are buying a lot, these tend to be the best price in Dallas) and we go to Trader Joes for the smaller ones. We also get a these hay bails and it gives height to the pumpkin arrangement.

Editor’s note: I like to mix plastic pumpkins with my real ones. I’ve done this for years, and have been surprised at how well they hold up. I have these cream and white pumpkins from Target (I bought a few different sizes). I also bought these light-up jack-o-lanterns (super impressed with these btw, the light flickers and they look so good at night). We move them up by our front door at night since its a covered area. I’m always afraid the sprinklers will ruin them, so it’s probably best to keep them in a dry area. 

MUMS: 

This time we lucked out at Home Depot, but we usually go to Jacksons in Dallas. They have a large selection! We put them in these Tall Black Planters.

SPIDERS + HALLOWEEN DECOR: 

We love the fuzzy spiders, but if you use outside, make sure they are covered or in a dry spot. They are bendy which makes them really easy to attach in fun places. We also used these large bats for our decor last year — wasn’t crazy about the glitter but from the street you couldn’t tell at all. We used these mounting squares and they didn’t remove the paint.

WREATHES: 

One of my favorite things about our doors, is that I can do double wreathes during the holidays. Austin found these suction cups last year and they work WONDERFUL. But be sure to check the weight limit, you don’t want to push it or they will fall. We use this glass cleaner with these microfiber clothes. 

PAINT:

Our exterior paint is Benjamin Moore Ballet White and the trim is Black Panther.
