The start of fall is great and all, but to me, the full excitement of the season doesn’t set in until the weather matches. And when that happens, and I can finally start wearing coats, I’m a very happy girl. To me, there’s nothing chicer than a good coat – whether to pair with an equally chic pair of boots, to throw over a sweater dress, or to elevate a good pair of jeans and sneakers.
Admittedly, I have a *thing* with coats and probably a few too many… but if I had to narrow things down this season, there are 5 styles I’d recommend. And with that, here’s THE COAT GUIDE. Click each coat to shop.
What’s your favorite style on the list?

THE COAT GUIDE
CLASSIC CAMEL
A classic belted camel coat will always be a staple in my closet. This Express option happens to be 50% off and Topshop makes this non-belted coat I’m wearing in the photo above. (size down — comes in several colors).
TEDDY & FAUX FUR
OK y’all, if you want to go full out, I love this Long Sherpa Coat for slightly over $100. For an edgier, more cropped cut, you can’t go wrong with this Black Bomber that’s 50% off!
BELTED
The most affordable belted beige coat happens to be a favorite (from H&M here). If you’re looking for a flattering silhouette, don’t miss this belted black coat which is current 50% off.
BUTTONED CAR COAT
OK but wait, another favorite choice is this White Collared Sherpa Car Coat – so chic, right? I can’t not share this Houdstooth Buttoned Coat either for $89.
PUFFER
Alright, so this is the trendiest option on the list but it’s a trend I’m behind. I purchased this Amazon-famous Thick Down Coat last year and still plan to wear it on the coldest days this year. I ordered a Small and got the green and beige color. It’s great quality for the price, especially for you ladies in colder climates. There’s also this Reversible Leather & Faux Fur Puffer Coat (TTS – $49) which is the first fur puffer to catch my eye.
