I’m happy to hear that y’all have been into my ‘How to Style’ blog posts lately so I’ll be sure to keep them up. This month, I wanted to cover a trend that is everywhere but can be tricky to style: combat boots. Since I love a good dress year-round, I thought it would be fun to mix them in with the edgier look of a combat boot, all while still staying true to my style.

COMBAT BOOTS I’M INTO

STYLE WITH TIGHTS

I’ve always liked a monochromatic look and all-black adds an even more flattering approach. This Amazon Sweater Dress (on sale for $27) comes in a bunch of colors and is really comfortable (I’m in a small). To warm things up or to show less skin, bring in black tights and flat combat boots so things don’t feel too dressy. Pair with a red or dark lip for intimate holiday gatherings – without the typical sparkle.

PAIR WITH A MIDI DRESS

This Ribbed Midi Dress is slightly form-fitting so I liked the idea of adding these Chunky Boots to give it some edge. These are probably my most worn combat boots of the season – super comfortable. This could be an on-trend and chic look for family photos or an at-home date night.

LAYER WITH A SLIP DRESS + SWEATER

OK so this is actually a set (slip dress + sweater) which I love, but you could easily recreate this look with something you have in your closet. I thought these Taupe Quilted Leather Boots paired nicely off the green and these have been another staple in my closet lately.
