Does anyone else feel like once fall and winter come into play, so do hats? It’s the time of year when I start incorporating them more into my looks… and let’s be honest, hats mean you can get away with washing your hair less which I’m all for. I love the extra element hats can bring to a fall or winter look, as they almost give that ‘finishing’ touch. You know what I mean?
While the styles change slightly from season to season and year to year, here are the 4 styles that I’m into at the moment…
Let me know which is your favorite!
xx Ashley
HAT STYLES TO KNOW ABOUT
FLAT + WIDE-BRIM
This is the style I’m wearing in these pictures and probably the most wearable of the flat brims this season. It’s an updated approach to the fedora, with a wider and straight brim and a triangle crown. I’m wearing the Dakota wool hat in cream and it also comes in this gorgeous brownish tan.
We saw Western styles come back in a major way last year and the trend is still going strong. This might be my favorite color hat on the list and I love the modern Texas vibes you get with a Western-style.
The classic boater hat has an upgrade this season with a wider brim that makes it more flattering, IMO. I’m into this one. The leather strap especially elevates the style.
Beanies as a winter trend aren’t groundbreaking but there are a couple new styles of beanies this year. My personal faves are the ribbed label beanie and this rolled-up waffle knit beanie. The fisherman’s cap is also everywhere but maybe a bit too trendy for me. As for a more classic look, you know I’m eyeing this taupe pom beanie that’s $28.
All of these styles were grabbed from Gigi Pip, which is a newish-to-me hat company I’m excited to share today! They’re a smaller hat company that specializes in women’s hats of all kinds, and their prices are mid-line. Their wide brims, fedoras, and straw hats all mainly fall in the $100 category and their beanies are around $30 which feels fair. Not to mention a great place to grab holiday gifts since they have everything from wide + short brims to beanies to ball caps. Oh, and did I mention you can personalize your hats? You know I’m always a fan of a good monogram…
Other than introducing y’all to the brand, I also wanted to share deals that Gigi Pip has going on. Now through Friday, they’re finishing out their 12 Days of Deals, including ‘Spend $50, Share $20‘ which lasts through today only! Some of their upcoming deals that you don’t want to miss: 12/17 – Free Gift with a $100 Purchase and 12/8 – 20% off Best Sellers.

With my usual curly hair struggle, hats are always the perfect solution to what seems like a bad hair day. I certainly got a few ideas from this post, thanks for sharing!
