We’re officially one week out from Christmas Eve and if you’re scrambling to send off a few last-minute gifts, I’ve got you! Today’s post is all about subscription boxes, unique gift ideas, and thoughtful presents that don’t involve you wrapping or sending anything. There’s something for kids, the wine drinkers, the outdoorsy guy, the beauty lover, and everyone in between.
Before I share my ideas, I also want to say that there are a ton of local and country-wide organizations that would be amazing to check out. From donating to a cause for someone or volunteering your time in their honor, that’s also an amazing idea for the person who has it all.
xx Ashley
FOR KIDS
Homer: I love this idea, especially during a heavy-virtual learning year. I’ve actually talked more about Homer in this post if y’all want the full rundown but it’s an online program with educational activities for ages 2-8. It looks like they’re also donating 20 subscriptions to students in need for every 1 that you buy right now, which is amazing! George honestly loves their stuff already, even though he’s not 2.
Kiwi Co: This company sends educational and fun little activities/toys based on the child’s age and interests. You can cater them towards what the child is into (as they get older especially) which is a cool idea.
Disney Plus: OK so this might also be good for the parent, but I think a yearly subscription to Disney+ would be high on a kid’s wishlist.
Highlights Puzzle Club: Alright, who remembers Highlights?! I recently saw that they actually still have a magazine subscription or this puzzle club which would be cute for a kid who has everything.
FOR HIM or HER
Winc: Austin and I both love this curated wine subscription box and it’d make a great present…especially this year!
The Clean Beauty Box: For the beauty lover! I recently learned about this small business through a friend and it’s pretty awesome. It’s a monthly subscription that brings you clean beauty products that are “carefully vetted to create a meaningful self-care experience, from unboxing to application”. I think I might need to sign myself up along with a girlfriend…
National Parks Pass: This would be a unique and thoughtful gift for the adventure seeker.
Billie: I feel like Billie razors are one of those things that women don’t know they need until they try. They’re so good! Their monthly subscriptions are affordable so you could even pay for a year if you’re feeling generous. More on my experience here.
Print subscription: From the NYT to a local paper, you could sign someone up for a subscription. Don’t forget about magazine subscriptions either – you can get them for as low as $4/month on Amazon.
Kindle Unlimited: I love this idea for the reader in your life. It gives them unlimited books to read/download each month. If you’re looking to treat someone who doesn’t have a Kindle, they can also use this on a lot of Apple products (iPhone, iPad, etc). Or you could gift them a kindle as a little combo gift.
Bean Box: Alright this might be heading towards Austin as we speak since it’s such a good idea for coffee lovers. They have both subscriptions and gift boxes and send coffee from around the world. You can choose the types of roasts the person likes and then they curate.
Seasonal beauty box: I came across this Etsy shop and wanted to share since she has gorgeous, earthy products of all kinds. From bath teas to new mama kits, everything is natural and made in small batches. It looks likes she also has seasonal subscription boxes for ongoing care.
Fuego Box: Another one Austin would love, honestly. How fun is this ‘hot sauce of the month’ subscription?
Equilibria: Y’all know how much I like the brand and trust their CBD products (see my full review here). If you’ve heard a friend or family member talk about trying out CBD, their monthly subscription or Starter Box would be a nice surprise. Use code ASHLEYROBERTSON for 15% off your first order.
Dollar Shave Club: A subscription-based grooming kit for your guy.
