For as much as I like home design and switching up the details of our living room shelves, entryway, etc., I honestly don’t change my bedding up too often. I guess that means I love our situation, and I do, but after seeing these linen pillows a couple weeks ago, I immediately had to try them out. From there, I figured I might as well try a few different styles to share with y’all and to see what I liked best.
After buying a few combinations to try out, I’ve decided I like having options to change up the bedroom when I feel like it. Especially since so much of what I got was pretty budget-friendly, a lot being from Target and Amazon. With that, here are 4 ways to style your bed in case you’re craving a new look!

Which is your favorite look?

OPTION 1
As I said, I knew I had to try these oversized black pillows when I saw them on Target’s website though I wasn’t sure if they’d be too much black for our space. Turns out, I LOVE how this looks! It’s a statement but in a modern, clean way and it goes with the rest of our decor really nicely. I also feel like this is a nice way to bring a touch of masculinity into the space if you share it with a guy. Austin even mentioned that he was into this look.
I broke up the large black pillows with daintier cream ones (similar here) in front for dimension and finished things off with a chunky tan blanket for another color.
OPTION 2
I’ve always liked the look of a large lumbar pillow on a bed so this was fun to try. Especially with the print – which is still pretty simple and clean paired on top of all white bedding. We don’t have many prints in our home so this was a good way to add something other than a flat texture while still sticking with the neutral theme (into this minimal print as well). If you have a king-size bed, I especially like the look of a long lumbar pillow to break up the large shape of the bed.
OPTION 3
This is how we usually have our bed styled. It’s clean and tidy and probably the most classic look on the list. By layering the pillows from wide to narrow, you’re bringing the eye to the center of the bed and it looks really pulled together. If you wanted to add personality, you can bring in textured pillows or a pop of print/color to either set of pillows (the large square or rectangular lumbar ones).
OPTION 4
Something about this combination is super soothing and comfortable to me. By adding in texture and oversized tan pillows, you add a sense of ease to the bed – something you could jump into with a book or magazine to cuddle up with. If you wanted a really simple look, you could stop there, but again, I think adding the smaller lumbar pillows on top finishes the look. Ours are sold out but I’m linking some similar options here, and here. By the way, if the oversized pillows look familiar, they’re the same Target pillows as the black ones pictured above. Such a good find!

Hi! In Option 2, where did you get the black and white blanket that is draped over the back of your left chair? I’ve been looking for something just like it!
