Alright soooo my candle collection is a little out of hand at this point but when I find a good one, I can’t help but to buy one (…or two). Can you blame me? I feel like a lot of women are like this, right? I light a candle at least once a day, usually one in my office while I work and another in the living room or my bathroom in the evening, and love how they can set the mood – let alone let off a nice fragrance. So in my mind, you can just never have enough.
Now I know some candles can get very pricey and while I’m not one to pass up a bougie candle here and there, the best is when you find a crowd-pleaser on a budget. I have a handful of favorites that happen to be under $20 so they don’t make me feel as guilty about adding to my collection. Especially when you can find a good dupe for a more expensive brand, like this Anthro-esque salt candle which is at the top of my list right now. Find that and my other Under $20 favorites below.
Let me know if you have one that I need to try ASAP!
xx Ashley
CANDLES UNDER $20
Target Large Citronella Candle: These are a must for Texas spring and summers and thankfully, the design of citronella candles have come a long way over the years. I love this large round look and the slight gloss to the ceramic dish. Here’s another smaller version which would look pretty mixed in with others on an outside dining table or side table.
H&M Linen Candle: Love everything about this fresh, crisp linen candle. It gives off a very inviting and clean scent without smelling like chemicals, you know? Plus, how good is the speckled ceramic? I’ll use this for makeup brushes or organization after it’s done.
Santal Vanille Mini: This candle brand can get pricey so I light this mini more sparingly, but the price is worth it because it’s a favorite. I know vanilla can get overpowering easily but this one is just the right amount of it. The glass jar is gorgeous and more of a feminine vibe (I usually keep in my bathroom).
Target Candle Noir: I actually have this candle on display right now because the black matte jar looks nice with our decor. This candle is slightly more masculine and one that Austin really likes, and I appreciate the mix of leather, spices and citrus for almost a sexier scent.
H&M Sandalwood Speckled Candle: Not going to lie, I bought this as a decor piece because I loved the glass holder so much but the smell is really nice too. It’s unfortunately sold out right now but H&M has a lot of affordable candles so head there for other options.
Target Blue Sagewood: I mean, you can’t really go wrong with Target candles right now, especially the Hearth & Hand brand which tend to have a nice simple yet chic jar or glass to them. This is a more floral candle but again, not in an overpowering way (I like less intense scents for all my candles).
Studio McGee for Target Glass Rose Candle: The glass jar got me again here and it honestly looks much pricier than $15. I’m not always a rose scent girl though I absolutely love this muted scent. I currently have it in my office because I wasn’t sure if Austin would be into it but he didn’t seem to mind it. I bought a few of these to place around our house because the ribbed glass is beautiful, and I’m also into this Orange Blossom version of it for a really crisp spring smell.
