Since I was pregnant during similar seasons with both Charlie and George, I didn’t have to (or want to) buy too many new clothes to fit the bump. First off, you really only end up wearing them for about 6-8 months, and secondly, there were only a handful of true maternity items I liked anyways – leggings, certain jeans, dresses, etc. Since I already had some of the staples needed, I was pretty particular about what I actually bought for my body during this pregnancy. And because I didn’t want to spend too much more money, I really relied on places like Amazon for affordable staples that could be worn with or without a bump. I knew I’d be able to wear them while pregnant, and then again postpartum as my body recovered and was in between sizes.
Anyways, since I’ve talked to a lot of mamas who feel the same about not spending too much on “maternity” wear, I wanted to round up a few of the staples I wore most often. Honestly, I’ve styled each of these pieces several times which you can see on LTK, but below are the most common ways I styled them. Each staple I’m featuring is under $50 and can be styled in so many ways.
For the record, you can find my favorite maternity denim here, other Amazon items I’ve worn often during pregnancy here, and my entire Amazon store here.
Let me know if this is helpful for any mama’s out there!
xx Ashley
