As vacation season approaches, it’s time to envision yourself enjoying the warm weather, sipping tropical drinks, and enjoying some well-deserved time by the pool. But before you start packing, let’s talk swimwear.
Don’t worry; you don’t have to break the bank to look fabulous on vacation. From essential warm-weather pieces to must-have pool party attire, this edit covers all your needs to stay cool and stylish during the summer season.
Oversized Button Down: An oversized button-down shirt is the epitome of effortless chic when it comes to swim cover-ups. The loose silhouette provides a relaxed and comfortable fit, perfect for throwing on over your swimwear. I’ve worn several styles over the years and my top two picks are still this white button down and this linen button down.
Printed Sarongs: These are the ultimate multi-purpose swim cover-up. They allow you to get creative with your beach look and I’ve found several styles that I’m loving this season. Tie it at the waist for a classic sarong skirt style, or experiment with different draping techniques for a unique and personalized look. I love this one (reminds me of the Toteme version but under $20).
Striped Button Down Dress: An oversized shirt dress is my top choice for a swim cover-up. This one (I’m in a small) has a loose and flowy shape which gives a comfortable and effortless look. Austin jokes that it looks like a sheet, but I think it’s perfect for throwing on over your swimwear or wearing around the resort.
